SERVICED APARTMENT

Serviced apartments are now a serious alternative to traditional hotels for companies looking to reduce their travel costs without compromising travelling employees’ safely and well-being.

There are basically two types. Extended stay – or Aparthotels- are studio or one bedroom apartments ranging from budget to deluxe standard, fully furnished with en-suitebathrooms, fitted kitchen or kitchenette, lounge/dining area, working area, internet access & direct telephone line.

This category of serviced apartments usually offers services such as manned reception desks (some 24hrs, others limited), daily or weekly cleaning & laundry service although fewer serviced tend to be available in budget-standard Aparthotels.

The other type of serviced apartment is called Corporate Housing mainly in the US. These are mainly residential apartments up-graded for stays of 30 days or more and packaged together with services such as weekly cleaning and utility charges but hardly any guest services. On average, we would expect a client to save $10 on the cost of the room rate and a further $15 per night on extras such as WiFi (normally charged in hotels), food and beverage.
